Oddly the righthand tab, for your graphics settings and such, is still here in this test, but the chatbox, map, and all of those left-side menus have been revamped. The old tabbed side window has been removed in favor of movable windows, with separate panels you can open for each one of the tabs on the lefthand menu. The big change this time is further refinement to the interface. Well, it's a beta, so you expect things like that. Character names were reserved for your account, but hours played, items, and such all were reset. I'll get to that, but going along with it there was a full character reset, so I had to recreate all of my characters again, trying to make them look like they should from screenshots pretty much. ANet continued to work on the game as it got close to release, and the interface took a jump towards its final form this month. While the game was mostly the same, a few things happened this month in Guild Wars. With the beginning of 2005 came the fourth Guild Wars BWE, or Beta Weekend Event, in early January. Readers will see some of all that here, as well as a bunch of shots of the entertaining end-of-beta event from January. The core of Guild Wars was in great shape by this point, but as it got closer to release worked on the interface and balance, as they also slowly showed some more areas of the game. Well, it's been long enough, so here they are. ![]() I've only ever posted a handful of these screenshots on the internet before, so almost all of them are new. Each pouch is consumed on use, but unlike varietal pouches, the bundle may be used to plant any number of crops. So, I just got done converting part three, so here it is. ![]() Some pouches further require that you unlock them for the vendor via the Dedicated Gardener achievement first. These seed pouches are account-bound and may be purchased for free from Gardeners, but only if the account has unlocked a Black Lion Garden Plot Deed. Each pouch is consumed on use, and its bundle may only be used to plant a single crop. These seed pouches are account-bound and may be crafted by Chefs with a cooking level of 475 after completing the sylvari section of Gourmet Training. Gardeners do not offer anything to accounts that have only unlocked the chef version of the plot. Accounts with a Black Lion Garden Plot Deed will have the option to purchase seed pouches from these NPCs, including four exclusive account-bound crops which can be used to craft Flask of Metabolic Primer, Flask of Utility Primer, and various dyes. All other crops will regrow at each daily reset until removed by the player by interacting with the Growing Crops.Ī Gardener NPC will be added to the home instance upon unlocking at least one plot. Varietal (chef-crafted) crops may only be harvested once before needing replanting. These will mature into harvestable nodes on the next daily reset. Upon planting, the slot will turn into Growing Crops. How many times you can plant from a single bundle depends on whether the seed pouch was chef-crafted (one plant) or Gardener-purchased (unlimited plants). Only one seed pouch may be converted to a bundle at a time multiple pouches, even if they're the same type of seed, will be lost if you click them before planting the previous one. Obtain a seed pouch (see List of crops, below) and double-click it to convert it to a bundle, then interact with one of the Open Soil slots to plant them. Accounts with a Black Lion Garden Plot Deed may optionally use the Launch-Mushroom to Garden to jump straight there.Įach garden plot comes with four Open Soil slots. When you reach the balcony, turn right and head up the twisty path.
